My 'friend' (cousins friend) has just completed his CBT (beat me to it), and he's 17 so he will be bound to the uno dos cinco's or the bus...so,

Let's roleplay!

1. Bikechat LOVES cruisers and wannabe cruisers!

2. This is a perfect world where nobody lies, sellers are the paragons of virtue... and we only talk in absolutes.

-Yamaha YBR 125 Custom (2012)
-5218 miles
-10 months M.O.T
-New tires fitted
-Oxford Heated Grips
-Yamaha Top Box
-"Professionally fitted remote alarm system"
-Crash Bars
-Disc Lock
-Haynes Manual
-New Battery fitted last month
-Helmet, Jacket, Pants, Gloves, Boots (Shox Sniper Helmet, RAYVEN armoured trousers, PROTO armoured jacket, BUFFALO gloves, Frank Thomas boots)

Pictures:

How much would you say it's worth? (Will reveal the price he has paid for it...stay tuned, we'll be back after the break)

Average the 6 comparable YBR125 Customs sold on eBay, and you get a 2013 with 7117 miles on it, for £1133. I'd probably go to £1200 for that one.

A load of kit which fitted the previous owner doesn't add much to the value. Wink

Considering the Buy It Now price is £1250, yes. In fact, now I've seen the ad, I'd start with an offer of £1100.

It's still up? He told me he already bought it!

£1125 was the price he offered.

How much is the box worth?

And you told us that you were about to do your CBT. How does it feel?

Sounds about right. I'd want to take a good look and listen at the exhaust through, they don't run cheap.

£40 plus whatever value you put on a little sticker saying "Yamaha Made In China".

I'd consider the alarm to be a liability, unless he's storing it outside and is prepared to run straight out in his boxers at 3am every time it goes off, screaming and waving his weapon around.

It's a second hand topbox on a 125. OK, it has a Yamaha badge, but I wouldn't pay more than £25.

Addendum - Roger obviously has more expendable income than I do.

I've seen you, Mr "polished mahogany engine cases" Borg, you're rolling in it.

I'm failing to understand what exactly is so hard about finding a local training school, visiting their website, clicking book on a CBT date that suits both yours and their needs, entering you card details and then waiting and turning up on the day.

Or are we going to have to talk about what's going on inside your head teff stylee first? again.
