Work offer this lock for £10

https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-lights-locks/bike-locks/master-lock-street-fortum-gold-sold-secure-d-lock-210x110mm-black

Worth getting for £10 or would i be better off with a padlock and chain from Poundland?

Bike is rarely left alone for long periods, it's just for nipping into shops etc

For a tenner its probably worth it just to secure your front wheel to the frame, how much is the bike worth? My push hog has 13mm Pragmasis chain, Abloy 342 padlock and locked to something solid. There was a spate of back garden / shed / garage break ins locally last week. I am one of the few houses on the street to have not had anything nicked, despite em trying. Thumbs Up

Not worth enough to worry about, it's few years old now.

Got to be better than nothing or a £6-7 one from ASDA/Tesco?

D- lock is definitely way better than any chain or cable. I don't know that brand but Gold standard is usually pretty good. Thieves can get through anything they want given enough time and the right tools, but D-locks are definitely a very good deterrent to most lazy thieves and opportunists. For someone to bring out the big tools the bike would have to be quite valuable.

I'd say that looks pretty good for £10.
