Hi all,
I wanted to make a modification to my exhaust on my bike.
Basically i want to get parts /exhaust parts for example 90 degrees pipe or 45, connectors and reducers [pipe reducers or connectors], the thing is i dont really know the exact name of them so its hard to look up stuff i want but does anyone here know maybe some sites that has for example pipes/connectors and all other parts for exhaust that you could buy it ?

Thanks!

What do you want to do?

Pics would help.

Having someone with all the correct equipment bend up a custom exhaust section isn't as expensive as you'd think.

There's lots of people on ebay who will make pipe sections to your specifications but it sounds to me like you want a pipe that goes from point A at X diameter to point B at Y diameter. That can probably be done in one piece unless the diameters are radically different.

I just want some website [if there is some] that you could buy for example look through and oh heres that connector or maybe different type of connector compare prices etc etc, i saw one page about 2 years ago but forgot there were like you could get different sizes and lenght of pipes and reducers of size etc.
I want to cut the Cat on xj6 and put reducer [as on pic below] and then make pipe going into direction where old end of exhaust was so i could later connect tips or make my own exhaust can.

Jetex in Stratford on Avon stock a huge range of preformed bends, reducers and collectors etc.

As for tips and stuff well assuming your not going to use specific bike parts like silencers, then there are firms that make lots of pre formed parts like 'custom chrome exhausts' but so do bike specific firms like Laser who will make custom length and size silencers and link pipes etc.

If I were you. I'd take the whole bike to an exhaust specialist with the end can you want and tell them what you want.

Essentialy that you want to cut it off here and have it meet up with the end can there. They'll take a single piece of pipe, bend it to fit then flare the ends to the correct diameter. Does sir require a clamp fitting or a slip joint?

Saves pissing around with multiple bits of pipe, multiple joints and extra fail. Building it in sections is always going to land up looking like the lash-up it is and will do nothing for your gas flow.

Be aware that exhaust makers are generally a bit on the surly side and are often super busy bending up decat systems for chavved-up corsas so expect to have to make an appointment.

I used this guy locally to me. Rocked up on the bike one day with the can I wanted to fit to my VFR. He looked at it and suggested he make a link pipe with a sprung slip joint so it's easy to whip off to change a wheel. Booked it in for a couple of weeks later. As I recall, he charged me £60. It's shorter than the one you want but I doubt it would take a lot more doing. He's effectively just putting an S-bend in it. In fact, there is a slight bend in mine which must have left a lot of wasteage.

He doesn't advertise it on the website but he does do custom made pipes. If you post roughly where you are, someone will likely be able to recommend a place. Be prepared to phone up or go in and talk to them. Communication skills don't seem to be one of the strong points of metal fabricators.
