Here she is:

https://imgsharer.eu/uploads/329/img_0655_1462125219.jpg

...and she's effing brilliant! Waiting for 1500km until I can actually open her up past 6/7k.

So smooth, it feels significantly more beginner-friendly than the 600RR because there's no 'kick' like the inline-four gives you - the twin with the higher displacement is just like being in the powerband of an IL4 600 all the way through the rev range - no nasty surprises, just constant power. Plus it doesn't sound like a wasp farting either!

Significantly better than the 899 that I test rode a few years back where I ended up getting a 600RR instead. A few years on and I was getting bored (and annoyed) with a 600 inline-four.

Got some bits on the way; rear seat cowl, tail tidy, clear clutch cover, red radiator guards etc Mr. Green Hasn't broken down yet! Thumbs Up

Weird looking suspension set up on the rear. I presume it's linkage and not direct on the frame/swingarm like the ER6.

Edit - Yes it is but still an unusual arrangement.

If I buy a new bike I'm going to open it up. You don't think the engines been up to max rpm on a bench? Just change oil and ride it as normal. Looks tasty mate.

Until he has to push it.

Those things do look absolute sex-wee, and I'm sure you'll be utterly in love with it, until the first Ducati service comes around, or you throw it down the road.

Red wheels and yellow spring seems a questionable styling queue.

Other than that, I'm going to go ahead and assume that 7k rpm in top gear would land you in jail anyway?

it won't break down, well not any more than anything else

there are no cam belts, so no eye watering service bills

and although its £13k, you can PCP one for £150 a month

Thumbs Up

Nice bike mister. Thumbs Up

Saw a few Sunday at the Ace Cafe Italian bike day. I usually do not like faired sports bikes, but they look wonderful fun. Smile

Is that a shroud that moves withhe sidestand on the honda? Not sure it's as aerodynamically clean as the ducati, and it doesn't look as good. Oh for the wind tunnel / cfd data on these. Probably insignificant compared to boot with toesliders.

yeah it moves with it iirc. Which is why 90% don't have them any more and indeed lost them in the first year of ownership. Still a nice touch though.
