So i passed my MOD 1 today for the full Category A Smile gotta wait til monday until the system is updated to book my MOD 2 aparently as i tried to go straight in for a cancellation lol.

The test track closest to me is at an MOT centre so its pretty busy with cars. When i was in the middle of my test just about to move away for my U turn some woman comes driving up the test track about 30 MPH LOL.

I was facing away at the time but from the look on the examiners face he was thinking what an idiot, kicked the cone out of the way from the salom and directed her off the track. Its not caged off or anything but its quite clearly a test track.

LOL

So nearly SMIDSY'd, not actually on a road, and no licence yet! Wink

Don't worry, it's just added to your memory bank of possible ways you can get taken out on a bike, definitely an extra lesson learned, always expect the unexpected!

I thought Mod 1 was meant to be in a controlled environment, a fenced off area (closed during the test)?

Nope theres no fence here, or anything of the sort. Just a solid white line.
Im from Northern Ireland if that makes any difference.

That won't be your last close shave with a woman driver. I'd bet my balls on that.

No, I did mine in Kirkham (near Blackpool) and it's an old VOSA testing depot. There's a big building right in the middle of it which you have to ride around. I almost got lost riding around the first time for my controlled stop. After watching all the videos on Youtube where the tests are done in lovely, purpose built test pads, it did come as quite a shock. Here it is on Google Maps.

Happens over here too. At peak times during the summer they run the Mod1 test in Silverstone car park.

Yep, did mine there after they cancelled the first one due to someone being parked right in the middle of the test area near the Kassam stadium in Oxford.
