Hi all,

I searched this forum and internet and found no answer.

My Vity (XC125E engine) had trouble starting when engine got hot. So I ordered replacement from eBay and replaced the pump.

After replacing the scooter does not start anymore. The starter is spinning, the spark plug has spark, fuel is coming from the fuel tank to the fuel inlet on the top of the engine (I have disconnected to check this).

Can anyone help me with some tips what to check? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Sime

((((((((The starter is spinning)))))))))),
Does that mean the engine is spinning?
If so does the spark plug get wet with fuel or is it dry ?

Hi,

yes, the engine is spinning.

I have even removed the fuel inlet on the engine and it sprayed fuel when I turned on the key.

It seems that the spark plug is now wet, but I smell fuel when I remove spark plug from the engine.

You mean you have pulled the fuel line off the carb. Dry the plug with a blow lamp or on the gas ring and try again.

Sounds like the fuel pump pressure and injector is working so is the spark blue with a crack or just yellow?
Also why change an engine with a poor hot start?

Hi again,

what do you mean by "Also why change an engine with a poor hot start?"? I read that xc125e have problems with hot start, mine had the same issue. The proposed solution was to change fuel pump, so I did.

is the exhaust full of fuel so engine does not breath now??

you didn't take the o-ring off the old pump and put it on the new one, so it's got no fuel pressure.
