it was taken in my garden a few years ago

https://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb129/andyscooters/Sammy%20snake_zpsi19d6gx9.jpg

I was at work at the time and mrs asked father in law to go round he poked it with a stick, thinking it was dead and it spat this frog out

its a pretty cool picture I think he sent it to a wildlife mag but they said it was too gorey to print

Sid found this in our garden today

Completely mummified. Probably a victim of one of the cats.

The garden's in Cyprus!
Don't know much about this particular type of lizard, other than it's not native to Cyprus. I've been told they're a pest, mainly because they raid birds nests for the eggs, and attack and kill the native lizards, which are small, usually green or brown and blue.
I have seen a couple of chamaeleons, a smallish one were I used to work and a larger fat one, not far from the house!

Pool fishing is my favourite. I know it's out of focus. I wasn't getting closer I've had enough of them jump at me in the past.

Spotted this on the road a couple of years ago, it might have been trying to warm up.
When picked up it seemed to play dead but when placed back outside soon disappeared.

I very nearly ran over a tortoise once, It would have been fine, I was in a tiny Mitsubishi. I did run over a snake early this week, didn't stop to check on it though.

That's a slow worm. We get them in our garden - the kids thought they were snakes at first. They're a protected species apparently.

My fault though as I should have buried her deeper!

What I found mummified in the garden was not a Bearded Dragon, a bit of Googling says:-

Quote:
Looking somewhat like a bearded dragon (Pogona spp.), a popular pet, the (Starred) Agama is found in some Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea, Cyprus, Turkey, northern Egypt and the Near East as far as Iraq. They are the largest lizards to be found on Cyprus
