Save the rant, what about the full story?

I've some experience with Kymco scooters from holidays and TBH couldn't really fault them.

How can I make my kymco 125 scooter makes a deeper exhaust note without changing the muffler? And If I were to modify the exhaust will it need rejetting or it will be fine as it is?

Meddled with his scootay, or bought one that had been pre-meddled, blames the manufacturer.

By the way, I saw a rusty Honda once, therefore all Hondas rust. FACT.

I am now fully convinced that Kymco scooters are all terrible and will never purchase one. [/sarcasm]

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY ONE. They are the worst scooters ever. The noise they make is worse than shaking a bag of spanners and the fuel consumption is terrible and they are slow compared to other scooters of the same class. And the customer service is the worst I have ever seen.

I am writing, to share my misfortune with others so they don't make the same mistake.
Please do not buy a kymco or you will regret it because they are SHIT!!

I hope this helps someone,
Thanks

In the same vein, my step-daughter drives a Honda (car, but same firm ergo same quality) that's a bag of shit. I can confirm that it's condition has absolutely no bearing on it's various scrapes with immoveable objects (one example being a 6 ton rubbish skip Rolling Eyes ) and total lack of maintenance. There is a strange rumble coming from the engine caused by the engine management light which started malfunctioning about six months ago. Those bloody lights are a pain in the arse, have you noticed how fucked up an engine gets when that light starts drawing critical voltage from the system?

Therefore, I agree with Roger that all Honda's are shit and should like to advise the OP to disconnect the Engine Management Light on all his future vehicles, thus avoiding all the problems those lights cause.

Ran a Kymco for a year... yes it was a budget machine, built to a price but it comfortably exceeded any reasonable expectations.

Sometimes the biggest problem with any machine is the cabbage that bought it.

Now a bloke we knew (he was a 16 year old then) had a sinnis

It was very similar to the kymco at the time

For some reason it would only do 20 miles per tank
Until we found out the tank was full of a polystyrene type stuff

I think the 'bad bikes' thread disproved that. Laughing
