Norning all!

Had little bikes when i was a teenager, was knocked off my first one by a guy in a Mk2 Escort estate!

Had a few other bikes but nothing massive!
About 25 years later i decided to have a go at commuting on a 125, bought myself a Hyosung GA125F & im loving the morning commute!

unfortunatley, some tart reversed into me while i was stationary, not a lot of damage, but enough to write the bike off!

So, i went & bought myself a Sinnis Trackstar 125, wrode it 80 miles home & swore i would never ride it that far again!

Its a great fun little bike (im only 5'8 so little suits me) but the seat is bloody uncomfortable after my last bike!

Cheers

Mark

Might be worth exploring if a Sinnis Max saddle will fit - the bikes appear pretty similar.

Those Trackstars really are pretty things. If you can't find a suitable replacement, I'd just fling a sheepskin on it for extra hipster cred. Wink

Hello and welcome Very Happy

re-upholstering the seat will cost you about £30 - buy some foam and make your own custom seat. That incudes foam glue and marine grade vynil.

Cheers for your comments guys!

As my commute is only about 5 miles (and not the journey i did yesterday) im not going to do anything with the seat for now! If i did, think it would spoil the look of the bike, except for the sheepskin idea? But not very waterproof though!

Cheers

Mark

I don't know about that, they keep the water out of sheep quite well.

Indeed, they shed water nicely. I use one on my Enfield, no problems.

Which means they roast better. I am therefore grateful for sheepskin.

Nice bike Thumbs Up have fun and fingers crossed no more accidents! Paint diagram required of the last one, by the way.

It would but we're old fashioned round here, so paint diagrams are still required.

Go bigger!
I'm not saying 600 but get something more substantial should you need it. There's plenty in between.
Commuting cost difference will be negligible.

Never had a bottom problem on the Trackstar, but it seems a common complaint.

Annoyingly the newer Sinnis retro bikes have different mounts on the seat, but RedMax Speed Shop customised a trackstar a day fitted a new seat to it with a straight swap bolt on. Maybe drop them a line and ask what options there are?

Never took my test, and now it seems to cost more to do your test than a half decent bike costs!
