Err, no we can't. We can perceive each part as it was when the light was produced. As it is right now won't be perceptible to us until the time it takes for the light to travel here has passed.

Seems to miss the point that we might also be missing some fundamental thing that we can't possibly know about the past. Maybe pre-big bang life released a similar video about how future life forms - humans, for example - would never be able to comprehend that moment in time.
