I see now that things like this video "vlogger/ing" do more bad than good and even more so while on L plates. Sure this video and the whole video uploading thing may be fun for you and your friend but in future I'd focus more of your spare time on riding and improving your riding than uploading videos. I wasn't going to attempt to take the high ground at first but I would like to point some things out;

We've all left our indicators on at some point and when you're learning there's plenty going on in your head so it's not the worse mistake that could be made. I'll ignore it but the time that the indicator was left on for is worrying and could at some point cause more issues than one van at a junction on a near empty road will. <See indicator OCD thread>

Positioning at the junction makes me a little nervous. The last thing you want to do is leave a big enough gap for someone to go up the inside of you and I wouldn't put it past a full license rider following two L platers bumbling around to sense the opportunity to make progress and clear you as a hazard by taking that gap and clearing you well into the distance of the mirrors as he rides up the road. Also get some more clutch control, there's a reason that letting go of the clutch or changing gears on a corner isn't advisable, you change gears mid turn while the bikes facing the kerb <pulls horrified face>.

The roundabout. Probably advisable to learn what shoulder checks and where you should be look at what point. Furthermore and most importantly you (under the assumption that you're the rider recording the footage) need to learn how to dominate your lane on roundabouts better, you stray the diving lines into the next line and are going to land yourself in all forms of trouble if you carry on that way. You really need to keep your wits about you since the sign before the roundabout indicates a NSL limit and as there's no signs on any of the exits stating otherwise that leads me to believe that cars could and will fly onto that roundabout at speed, wake up before you get flattened. Oh, and there's no point looking again at oncoming cars as your right near the junction because if there was you'd only emergency stop and get rear ended or if you pulled out would get flatted. Learn to take one look on the approach to roundabouts and make a firm decision based on that; stop or progress, don't fanny around and come to a dead stop at the last moment because you can't plan ahead.

I wouldn't be going anywhere near a NSL with riding like that.

My comments are attempted at being constructive in the best possible way. I'm sure if I watched my post CBT early days riding I'd be horrified but I'd rather point out things that prevent you turning into mash potato sooner rather than you finding out the hard way. Well, you wouldn't really now about it but you get the point.

We really do need a wider choice of ratings.

Re-read just to be sure.

It will end, quite certainly, by my next post here.

...but let's not look beyond the morrow. I enjoy your brief concurrence.
