Hi all,

Trying to get to the bottom of a mystery - I'm looking at getting this Suzuki on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322110609719?_trksid=p2057872.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm currently trying to find out how much insurance costs. However, a 2006 Suzuki GS500 doesn't exist on the insurance databases; I've only got the option of choosing a GS500F, which I understand is the faired version of the same bike.

So what's going on? Is there a problem on the insurers' end, or is there a problem with this bike?

Thanks for your help.

Yeah I discovered that when I was trying to figure it all out earlier, but on the list of bikes I can choose from on the insurer's website (should be attached), I can only choose a GS500F.

Am I doing something wrong?! Confused

Hmm. The GSF appears twice in that list ... probably one of them isn't meant to have an F.

Data fuck up on the insurance database.

Run the quote for both to see if there's any/much difference, then once you've chosen a quote ring 'em to confirm the details.

Hi , I put in the registration of that bike from e-bay into a comparison site and it showed no bike found, evidently there is a bike with that registration or at least with that registration shown in the pictures, have you got a log book for the bike or have you not bought one yet, as you can go to dvla to find various searches regarding vehicles and MOTs

Evidently there is a bike ,so i would phone your insurance company and ask for a quote Thumbs Up

Stuck it into MCE, came up as a 500F on there, so insured it as that. I guess that's OK?
