Anyone got a torrent link to the HGV/LGV Theory test/ Hazard perception test training DVD.

When I did it the hazard perception was the same as for cars and bikes. I used a book for the theory revision (which is 90% the same, with a few additional LGV questions thrown in).

No, but as above I used the DSA book to pass mine.

I got 95/100 and 98/100 for the hazard perception and theory tests. It's mostly common sense with a bit of technical knowledge to do with trucks thrown in.

Yep - although the pass mark requirement is higher for LGV than for car/bike. Not sure if you could pass by answering all of the 'normal' questions correctly and getting all truck ones wrong though.

From memory the truck ones are things like hooking up pneumatic lines (on an artic), height/weight restrictions and driving hours/tacho use.

Thanks I've order the book anyway so it can read it on the train to work.

Looking a the practice test i'm not far off anyway most the lgv stuff seems like common sense anyway

I haven't applied for my provisional c1 licence yet, i'm waiting for the forms etc.

Can i book and sit the theory test without it, obviously i have a car and bike licence already

I think you did have to; certainly they checked the license, but not 100% the categories on. I was a bit worried doing a practice test, so got the book and read through it a few times. Raced through the questions. Didn't bother to double check, though I knew one was iffy. Did get that single one wrong. Did fine on the perception too.
