I have an anti fog visor insert, similar to a pinlock one.

Over time it's got a bit of grime on the inside, what's the best way to clean it?

I just use water and a microfibre cloth, the pinlocks last long enough without major scratches.

You can use a 'mild' lens cleaner or simply very diluted washing up liquid in warm water.
Rinse very very well to get any residue out, wipe off excess water and let it dry.

Depending on your local water hardness you may get spotting so it may be better to rinse in bottle water.

Don't use anything with any sort of abrasive. Even some paper towels can harm the special coating on the inside.

It will need a few minutes to dry out before refitting as they are made of moisture absorbing plastic or have a moisture absorbing coating.
