DAS everytime.
A2 is for people who're too young to do DAS.
You'll get to ride a 500cc commuter style bike when doing the training for your big boys license which'll give you an idea of riding something with more power than an XT125.
400 miles on a CRF450 might not be the most wonderfully fun thing to do. |

+3 for DAS, then decide. It'll cost the same as A2, you'll be doing it on much the same size of bike. There's no point to A2, and I mean that at many levels.
Are you clear that you can't (legally) just go and buy yourself a bigger bike then sit your tests on it? You need to be accompanied by a certified DAS instructor, or a DVSA examiner in order to validate your provisionaL entitlement. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
