He's done some great videos. The F40 versus F50 piece was excellent, as was the P1 v 918 v LaFez. Andi really like the cheesy Fez 512TR through the mountains vid too - that noise.

I'm sure he's being badly directed, but he's following that direction. Shouty oik is shouty.

If he dialled it down, Token dialled it up, and Joey sodded off, it might become tolerable, but it's if, if, if.

The first frangible impact was a perfect opportunity for some ad hoc verité, but they even ballsed that by pretty obviously re-shooting, scripting and directing the painfully wooden "reactions" that made it into the final cut.

Chris Harris is an absolute Legend. A proper car journalist, great on video and great when he's given free reign. When he's not having to be loud he is genuinely better than Hammond Clarkson or May on their own.

I like the way he describes what the cars doing, the old top gear lot would just say it's fantastic, with Harris' Youtube videos you can actually picture the driving experience.

Really enjoyed this weeks. Up there with the best Grand Tour episodes IMO. Did chuckle at LeBlanc's heavy plant machinery fetish, and did enjoy the jokes. Harris seems to have relaxed a little, and it all went much more smoothly IMO.

It's getting there. If it keeps on this trend it'll be superior to Grand Tour and on a par with the very best Top Gear before the end of the series.

Agreed, I thought this was the best effort by far.

Good to see bikes finally being included next week too.

And yet people are happy to pay good monies to watch 4th rate football clubs 'play' each other in the cold and damp.

People are strange.

I quite like new TopGear - as an hour of pleasantish loosely car related entertainment, it does the job. So much better without that carrot topped annoying twat.

Nope, me neither.

And to think I've been watching it for the past 3 weeks, enjoying the spectacle of some guys dicking about in some cars and not really noticing the colours of the presenters. I'm so naive!

Best thing on telly at the moment, only Robot Wars comes close but there's too much talking and guff in that. Pretty sure this means I'm actually 12 years old? Embarassed

It was cringeworthy throughout most of the show, Harris shouting get out of the way like the fat bloke used to, and the awkward/forced 'banter'. It was the only the mention of a motorsickle that will get me tuning in next week.

They are probably already interviewing from within their own staff.
