Considerable racing experience and experience driving and testing very expensive very fast cars vs "like cars and have money/preferable skin colour".

(I don't know how much he did drive in that race, but a 4th place likely requires considerable skill as while not quite Le Mans it's a very popular race and arguably more technically challenging. He's done a lot of other racing too.)

Seems reasonable enough to me when you're giving someone a car worth many millions to (ab)use. (In the case of the Veyron, it was considered they probably lost a few million per sale when R&D costs were considered - I suspect their prototype of this model would be valued considerably.)

I remember Ferrari wouldn't let the Stig drive the FXX, that's why they had to come up with the whole Schumacher thing.

Thought it was good last night with the exception of Eddie Jordan. I think that's one presenter that everyone is unanimous about.

He's an annoying little so-and-so. I don't know why they bother with him.

I thought MLB came across particularly awkward last night. Even my better half (who adores Joey) commented he wasn't a good presenter.
