Rear axle thread repair

Is anyone able to re cut the thread on my axle as I don't have a die big enough. Or can you recommend somewhere that would be able to do it.

It's traditional to say what bike it's for.

If you've been battering the end of it with a hammer to get it out and it now resembles a badly hammered-in fencepost, old-school engineers would give you a thread file (which can be bought relatively cheaply) and tell you to sort it out yourself.

This is effective but time consuming and so teaches you not to do it again.

But yes, pictures AND what bike would be great.

If you've mullered the end of the axle then you'll also require a flat file.
