Hey, I'm thinking about buying a ybr 125, id like to ask, does anyone know if it is compatible with other fairings? like yzf or something, if nothing else i can make the alterations to it but id just like to know if some already tried it?

No it's not.

Why not just get a YZF if that's what you want?

Have you looked at the insurance on a CBR125R?

If you really, really want a sportsbike look, tepid commuter performance, and are counting every penny then you could seek out a Lexmoto XTR 125 / Skyjet SJ125-23/26.

You could, but I wouldn't: every used example I've seen has been a wreck.

cant afford insurance on a bike that's been around a while but wants to buy a bike that has only been on the market for a year

that alone is your insurance money

i was filtering through traffic on my way to school when suddenly a woman shot out from a side road and got me on the left rear of my bike, i broke both of my wrists (one is worse than the other, that's why i can type) and the bike had its frame twisted and cracked plus the wheels are misaligned. There was no oncoming traffic and my lane was pretty much stiff.

i looked at the xtr 125 but id rather go with a non sporty japanese bike Smile i'd want to customise it either way Smile or KTM or Aprilia, but you know what i mean, something that is more reliable and holds its value better.

If you swap the fairings you'd have to swap the seat, then handlebars, headlights, then change the peg position otherwise it's just going to look a Frankenstein creation.
At which point it's still going to sound like a ybr so your going to want to change the exhaust.
You might have something which looks and sounds like a sports 125, but it's still ybr underneath it all.

To do it right your talking a lot of parts, time and effort for something which is never going to be a sports bike and the resale value is going to be peanuts.

Repsray what? Your current bike, a bent frame won't go back on the road fam.

Just grab a 2 year old CBR125, bigger frame, fairly cheap on fleabay. Use it for what it is, man up and do test, get fireblade, JULLLAAAYYYYY.
