i have picked up a Peugeot speedfight 100 with aec400 immobiliser... the light was on constantly. I have all the keys, tried re coding and still no spark! I have bought a 5 wire cdi and tried wiring as suggested on a website and still nothing... no power to ht coil either... is there anyone who has detailed info on how to do this as I may have made a mistake somewhere (apart from getting a moped)!!! and some picture would be very helpful too... thanks in advance

The well-known CDI/immobilizer issues with these small Peugeots represent just one aspect of their considerable electrical problems; all of which are exacerbated by age.

My advice would be to break it and sell as parts, and use the cash (and the money you'll have saved by not continuing to try and fix it) to buy something that's not a Peugeot.

Thanks for your input, but I already have 10 bikes... It has only covered 4k since 98. Last used in 2011. Really is in immaculate condition... Be a shame to break up such a good example, with the right input I believe it can be put right.... Just hope somebody has the information. Cheers

a good example

This phrase, coupled with the words 'Peugeot scooter', represents the quintessential oxymoron.

Throw it away, and spend your money on those other 9 bikes.
