Are Harris stands really worth the money?

I'm looking for a rear + front headstock.

I've bought cheap stands in the past and in my experience they just don't last.

My recommendation would be to buy an Abba stand. They're a bit more expensive but are simple to use singlehandedly with no risk of dropping the bike, they're very stable and fittings are available for most models.

Edit - beat me to it ^^ Very Happy

I used a £20ish rear paddock stand for years with no problems, even on 240kg of ZX12. So no, I personally don't think £80 for a Harris one is worth it.

What is worth the money though is an ABBA stand. More useful than a rear paddock because you can work on the rear suspension/swingarm and much more stable, don't end up scratching the bike using it. With the right add on bit you can raise the front wheel so no need for a headstock stand.

I really like mine and glad I invested the cash in it.

I think the black range are just the generic chinky crap you get on eBay.

I've got a cheap paddock stand someone gave to me, my XR (all 120ish KG's) bent it Razz Still use the thing occasionally tho'.
