superbyke RBP 125 gears wont engage

Just got a superbyke rpb 125 on an 07 plate and engine runs perfect but the bike will only engage first gear. I rode it home in first and put it in neutral in my garage and tried to wiggle about the gear linkage and now it wont engage first either.

i am alright with mechanics but ive not owned a bike in years...what should i be looking at to try sort this?

I thought first of all, the gear linkage, then gears n clutch...

any help is very appreciated and welcome

when i tried to engage second while riding there was no resistance at all. When i put it in first i felt a very confirming click...when i tried second there was nothing at all

thank you.for that video. Is the engine in my rbp 125 the same or similar to a cg125 then? Ill have a look at the inside of the gear selector when i get chance to. Thank you for the video

Looks like your RBP is yet another rebranding of the Skyjet SJ125-twenty-something, so yes, I reckon that's a CG125 copy-engine, complete with kick starter and pushrods.

See also:

Kaisar XTR 125 / KS125-23; AJS CR3-125; Lexmoto XTR 125; Yuan Renegade; XGJAO XGJ125-23; RR7 125.

First thing I'd check is that the gear shift linkage is securely clamped on to the selector shaft.

yeah it is a skyjet copy. Doesnt appear to have a kickstart but starts perfevt with electric. Thank you and yeah ill get on with it this afternoon probably

Yep, check the obvious stuff first, but my money would be on a bent selector fork. I've had two Chinese CG motors apart that were either stuck in one gear or couldn't get any, and both times the problem was caused by cheesemetal selector forks.

cheers. Thatll be the inside of the gear selector then isnt it?

On the side i think theres 3 8mm bolts holding a cover on....ill have a look later. Is there a haynes manual that covers these kind of chinese bikes? Cheers

There's a generic Haynes covering Chinese 125s. Since they're nearly all packing variants on the same Honda and Suzuki copy-lumps, it should help.

Engine-wise though, you may be better with an actual CG125 manual, or you can have a go based on YouTube vids.
