As the SV650 has a split seat.

Buy a spare pillion seat and bolt a top box to it. I'm serious this is a popular BCF choice.

You see your Oxford panniers will cost you £50 and hold 48litres.

A big top box will be water proof, cost you £40 (box and spare seat) and hold around 41-50 litres. Most importantly it will be secure and lockable, fabric side panniers aren't and can be cut off or unzipped.

It will however make your bike slightly top heavier.

I was going to recommend Kreiga kit but that's no good if you need a usable pilly seat.

It's not my SV just a random internet picture.

My SV was bumble bee coloured.

realistically, if you are wanting to take a pillion too, soft panniers, and a tank bag would be your best bet.

alternatively, you could go hard luggage, but it will be expensive. see here for some ideas? - https://sv650.metromain.net/index.php?x=luggage

Did a small tour on my old SV. Soft panniers, and tank bag.
Everything else was strapped to the pillion seat, though it could have been removed for a passenger if needed.
