I've found conflicting information on the Internet. Could anybody please tell me if they are aware of free parking at Stansted airport?

Thanks!

Yep, it's available at the short stay car park. Bikes tend to part at the back by the bins. On the way out the ticket machine will show a fee a few hundred pounds, but when they see you're a motorcycle they open the barrier.

Park here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.8861706,0.2595654,3a,75y,313.97h,72.95t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s3fKYNvr92B62mwu-ODScKQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1?hl=en

You can easily get in and out here:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.8866198,0.2607298,3a,75y,272.77h,70.4t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAJ1P_WnTe7cR9Rg72fo_ng!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1?hl=en

The barrier isn't wide enough to stop bikes getting through easily.

This may be past the due date by now, but for future reference:

Stansted Airport doesn't allow motorbikes to park for free since late 2015!

They only do %50 on their standard rates when you pre-book.
To the day I haven't found any way to park around there for free or in a cost-effective manner.

Not if you are on a pay monthly plan as 01, 02, 03 & most 07 numbers are included in your allowances. ... If you have allowance remaining that applies to landline calls, and you've been charged for calling an 03xxx number, then that's a billing error - pure and simple.

Tariff/Service. 03. Calls at the same rate as calls to geographic numbers, no revenue sharing is permitted .

So if they are saying it costs as stated. THen they need reporting to Ofcom or simply update their site to match the new charges.....

03 numbers – UK-wide geographic numbers
Many organisations use 03 numbers as an alternative to more expensive 08 numbers.

Calls cost no more than calls to geographic numbers (01 or 02) and must be included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way. Calls from landlines are typically charged up to 9p per minute; calls from mobiles typically cost between 3p and 40p per minute. Calls from landlines and mobiles are included in free call packages

I did park at the place recommended in an earlier post and it was fine. There were sayings saying 'no motorbikes' and people had even chained their bikes to them. There were probably 100 or so bikes, so I believe they're no really enforcing said rule yet.
