I need a new one as my previous charger has ceased to work after 2 years. Looking on Ebay they are mostly the same size 150mm X 70mm X 20mm but the power ratings vary from 5600Mah to 200000Mah. They all contain Li-ion cells and I think that 20000Mah is a more realistic figure to what can be crammed into that space. Buyer feedback indicates that therre are very many packs with fictional ratings. Any recommendations please?

Nope not really it's a game of roulette.

The only way you can find out is buy them and stick them into a smart charger like an acucel or Turnigy. My turnigy (which I use to charge LIPOs for a UAV I've been playing around with) tells me how many MAh it's put into the battery and allow balance charging across the cells.

The variations on the MAh even from the same shop and same brand can vary as much as 25% each way.

I've got this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F5Q4F0U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can get 2 tablets charged from a full battery.

I read somewhere the mah figure appears inflated as the voltage is different, I.e usb is 5v the battery is different.

I have had this one for about 2 years (got it on a sale, maybe thanksgiving 14):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00M1J93TC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can't speak for exact capacity, but can charge my tablet, mrs' tablet with enough left for a phone. Also does fast charge on output which is nice.

I have one of these. Bought two years ago for a festival, still going strong. No real dip in battery life, even if it is only 10Ah.
Only gripe is that the micro usb charger port is starting to get a bit worn through use and has started playing up a bit.

I got stuck at some services when my bike broke down, ended up buying a AKEKIO 7800mAh dual output pack. Services prices, cost me £19, charged my then phone (galaxy S3), so happy with that. They can be a god send.

I was drawn to that one but stupid Amazon delivery means that as it is one pence under £20 it is subject to about a fiver postage.

I got all excited when I saw numbers that would mean 2e^11 amp hour from a battery pack, then realised typo. big M and little m makes a difference
