Suzuki EN125 - Neutral & Gear indicator not working.

Hi all. Just bought a 2001 Suzi EN125. Compleatly managed to fail to notice than Neutral light and gear indicator are not working. Cannot find any diagrams or advice on interweb which sort of surprised me....
Anyone able to help? Is it one swithch that does both? And if you change it do you have to drain the oil first???
Any advice appreciated.

First thing I'd check would be whether its even supposed to have a gear indicator, Maybe on a super performance CBR125RXXX you might get one for the mad power band, not so much on an en125 I think.

Neutral light might be bulb.

Bulb OK. Should indeed have gear indicator. Looks like sender unit on gearbox is a bit chewed up so I rekon that's where the fault is. Has power back at green wire that connects seperatly to cable block connector. I guess this is the main power feed??

Yeah these came with idiot lights as standard.

Whip the front sprocket cover off the engine and you should see the sender unit. If it's all mangled up I'd check the wires for any breaks and solder them up. Also check your chain tension as it shouldn't be chewing that up if it's taught enough.

I'd go without if I'm honest. I replaced all of that stuff on the dash with a single speedo and wired in a separate neutral light. Worked a treat.
