I would guess that the answer to your original question is something along the lines of if your threads and posts are helpful / interesting rather than spammy then people will have less of a problem about them.

Someone from Motard Exhausts used to post quite frequently on here and was a very good advert for them.

It is a fine line between trying to push products, and product information I know. I dont want to burn any bridges with trying to push new bikes on here at all.

I do actually want to advertise too. A lot of people dont have 4k for a new 125, and Id like to say to them "You dont have to have that sort of money"

I'm all for hearing about exciting new products. I'm not sure how excited i can get about your bikes. We've had some good participation here from industry players, and i think it has worked well for some of us as there's been enthsiastic discusion of their product. Motad springs to mind.

If this feels like a spammy advertising dump or there are quality issues with the product that are not addressed properly than it will not work out well for you.

Sinnis, along with Lexmoto, are the two importers of Chinese bikes who seem to be making an effort to actually build a real brand. I'd like to hear more about what they're up to, and what's coming next. Sinnis branded 400cc+ bikes, for example, would interest me a lot more than WK's offerings.

The fact that Mike is engaging first and asking about paid advertising suggests that it's not just going to be a spam-and-run.

Just to echo the Borg's comment, if someone is trying to get a footing in the market by liaising with the community first, I'm willing to listen. If it turns into a spamfest, it will be rated accordingly.

Bear in mind that some folk are always going to scream "spam" at any post from any business, particularly if it's about something that they're prejudiced against like Chinese made bikes.

I do think people jump to clicking the 'spam' button at the slightest hint.
Personally I have no problem with ontopic blurb, but accept others may not.
