Props to the guy on the (mostly) yellow YZF600 that pulled over to help me near Pontypool today. My rear inner tube (brand new) decided not to hold onto air in a very rapid way. After much sideways action on a major roundabout I came to a stop on a busy 50mph road. The dude spotted me from the other carriageway, spun around the roundabout and pulled up behind me. After a brief shouty conflab he offered to escort to a nearby bike specialist who would help. I sat on the tank and first gear ice skated along whilst he ran as a blocker for me. Top man. Not only did I meet a really helpful dude on the most Mad Max ratted sports bike I've ever seen, I also now know about this little old school bike shop. I was pissed my new tube gave up the ghost, but the positives of the experience far outweighed that fact. Due to much sweaty walking I also found a nice pub called the Unicorn. I had to wait for my lift so I may as well have had a beer.

Cheers young man, you made a shit ride home much more bearable!

😁
