Derbi Senda side stand very low?

So I bought a Derbi Senda yesterday as a cheap runabout, everything about the bike is fine but the side stand makes the bike sit very very very low. So low that I'm constantly thinking the bike will fall over! Could I just need a new stand or could this be a bent bracket? I will upload photos tomorrow.

Yeah, post some pics. The Senda has a really long stand - maybe yours is bent, maybe it's the wrong stand!

I believe that there are various lengths of stands available for the Derbi Senda.
Just pop down to your local Derbi dealership and tell them that you'd like a long stand.

My Derbi Cross City bike stand is also very low, I don't want to let go of it incase it falls! Must be a problem for all Derbi bike owners...

Sorry I didn't post any pics, But I've had a look at new derbi senda side stands (the same model as mine) and i am 100% sure that my bracket is bent Any advise on how I can sort this out? I'm pretty sure that the bracket is welded onto the frame...
