No, never bothered. I just look at the screen and take note of how far away the next turn is.

I got a pair of these. Great value and have tried mine recently with Garmin on a European trip. 100% reliable. Wish I could have said the same for the £150 Scala Rider crap that it replaced.

I bought a pair in case the wife wanted to talk to me but turned out she didn't. They have a microphone but it easily tucks out of the way.

Would definitely recommend Smile

Scala Rider Q2 worked well for me day in and out for 4 years, until a final thunderstormy day + 700 mile autobahn run did it in. Currently my G9 provides me with full music + phone connection on my commute. About the only negative I can say about the Scala Rider is that it doesn't quite get loud enough to work with well with earplugs at higher speeds.

I don't connect the Scala Rider to my Zumo though. Just keep mental track of distance to next turn, or look at it when approaching a significant junction. Though these days, if I'm trying to go somewhere new in London, I use Google Maps on my phone on audio only.
