Hi All,

Brand new to the forum. A little background info... I am an American presently living in Romania. A few months ago I purchased a 1997 BMW F650 (that was originally purchased in Italy) and I really enjoy the bike. I was wondering if anyone had any information on the possibilities of importing this bike back to the states. I have been searching the internet but haven't found any specifics about importing this bike. Thanks in advance.

Bob

You'll get fingered. Does it conform to the emissions of your state, most don't.

There's probably an American BMW forum where they'd know the answer (and many where they'd look down their nose at someone not riding a 1200).
I suspect that the costs would make it much more expensive than buying a bike that's already in the states but you may have a special attachment to that specific bike, so you have to work out how much you're prepared to let that attachment cost you.
