Don't know if there's any other designers on here but I'm pretty excited about this app coming to Windows, long dubbed the Photoshop killer.

Gimp epitomises the Designed by Developers for Developers^tm problem with FOSS.

It's like learning to ride a unicycle. Put enough work in and you can make it work. You'll even tell yourself it's a valuable skill. Pay no attention to those slackers zooming past you - they're doing it the easy way, with their lazy reliance on two wheels.

Problem with Photoshop is, it's basically the same app it has always been but it has been improved upon.

Affinity has been designed from the ground up, it's supposed to be waaaaay faster and better than Photoshop because of this.

It will take some mind un-fucking to get used to it if it's good, 16 years of Photoshop has it burned in my retinas and all the shortcuts.
