I stopped playing when I found out how easy it was to cheat and that there was no actual game to it. Pokemon and Ingress both suffer from having too many locations to capture/hold. They could make the game more fun and competitive by removing a lot and forcing people to compete.

got myself fully evolved starters over new year, hatched pichu and togepi but not any of the other baby ones, sophs managed to get most of the others but not togepi

Hold up. Are the new gen 2 Pokémon only available from eggs? It's been a long time since I had a 10k egg and the best thing I've hatched recently is a seel. And that was only because I need the candies for a Dewgong.

I saw one of the baby Pokemon in the wild, it got away, and that's it for me.

Egg wise, it's the first 10km eggs I've had in ages and I haven't seen a 2km egg in months

I picked this up again while on holiday in the Canaries - they had Kabuto and Omanyte there like we have Pidgey's and Rattata's.. I got enough to evolve the one but not the other, and that'll give me two of the rares.

I'm only a lowly level 22, though..

Haven't seen a 10km egg in ages.

Ive got two 10k eggs just about to hatch, one is 9.8km and the other is 9.4km. Im going to head out for a walk and see what I get.

I've slowly given up on it. I'm missing Chansey, Muk, Dragonair/ite, Tangela, Kabutops, plus 2 babies.

For some more nostalgia or to (re)learn Gen 2 Pokemon, download the app "My Oldboy Free" then a Silver/Gold/Crystal ROM from a website. I raced through Crystal in about 10 days, to the point my thumb was in pain. That was on Android but I'm sure IOS has equivalents.

Im up to 131 caught out of 140 seen so far, now a third of the way through level 26 but not got the update that was apparently released today. I think it lets you customise your trainer a little more and preps you for gen 2?

Ive hit Bluewater a fair few times with lures and lucky eggs. Earlier this week every stop had a lure on it and they all lasted for six hours

I found my old collection last time I went home They're all kept in a Pokémon card book holder. I also found my old electronic Pokédex.. Shame the batteries were dead.
