In 65 years time your, eastern European, carer will be flappin' your chap for you, into the same device, every morning, just before your feeding tube's inserted! Wink

This seems to be the most borrowed item at the BCF camping extravaganzas:-

Far too bulky to carry on a bike though.
Why not open the zip an inch or two, or ten inches for those with delusions of grandeur.

Bike(s) in the van. Smile

Find it works better that way when getting from A to B.

Not so good in traffic however!

I'd rather just get a hotel room, probably cheaper in the long run too.

I'm quite a light sleeper and recently have had a dodgy shoulder which means some beds are too firm etc - nevermind being woken up by drunk people returning back late or kids running around in the morning

I'm not a fan of camp-sites - for similar reasons to hotels; noise as well as that you have to pay to use a bit of ground.

I got mine for other reasons, but cost me £600 (and yes spent a bit more on heater etc) - doubt it's lost too much value.

Bluetooth speaker,
12v fan,
Solar panel,
Usb chargers seem to get used the most.

A good one for wild camping is a water bottle with a built in filter. Cost about 25 quid and means you can drink from most water sources.

Like the water to go bottle. I took one around South America but it broke after falling from the top bunk of a bed in La Paz.

On a bike a hydration pack with a sawyer filter is probably better, but it doesn't filter metals and the like.

I use a Lenor bottle, plenty of capacity and a nice wide neck with no sharp edges.

My little folding stove. Used to have the one that sits on top of the gas canister, but it was no good on anything but perfectly level ground as it toppled vary easily. This'un however is very stable and gets a bloody good bit of heat going. I can handle any conditions, rain, sleet, hurricane, frogs falling from the sky... Provided I can get a brew on.

+1 for a headtorch

Also, a ski type beanie hat with the fold up rim. Pull it down and you've got an eye mask to stop you being woken at 5am by the sunlight. It also doesn't push on your eyes like a dedicated eye mask Thumbs Up

And BCF'ers. I couldn't camp without BCF'ers

Ear plugs.
Last time I camped, an inconsiderate, loud mouthed, pissed up cock didn't shut up for ages after most had retired for the night, despite being told in no uncertain terms to shut the fuck up.
He was the type of tosser that 'didn't remember anything' the next morning.

+1 for the eye mask btw and indeed the piss bottle.

two of my most important things at download festival.

trying to pick your way through tents to get to a bush/tree to lash on was near impossible at night, especially when under the influence.

and trying to sleep at a festival.. earplugs are a must

Get a piss bottle for free with every 500ml of Oasis. Laughing Because Ex bus driver, sometimes theres no loo at end of route so
I always carried an empty oasis bottle in my bag to pee in. Halfway up the stairs you couldn't be seen filling the bottle and
could tip out into kerb afterward. Life saver that was, many many times. It's not like you can pull a bus full of passengers
into a petrol station while you pop in for a slash.

Whoa there, you never buy the citrus / pineapple / mango Oasis for that purpose. Hand

<Ponders whether it could also replace the Oasis bottle / OP's item>

Jet boil, or if you don't want to be charged silly money, an Alpkit Brukit.

https://www.alpkit.com/images/made/images/products/70409/brewkit_coat_1200_1200_803auto.jpg

Boils water in a couple of minutes max, the gas cannister and stove part parks away inside so nice and small.
