Hi guy I've an FZR400 3TJ which i need to try and source a few bits for, the inlet rubbers that the carbs push into have seen far better days as the rubber is really cracked but it doesn't seem to have gone all the way through so I'm not sure if i really "need" a new set (even if i did i can't find any on eBay for the 3tj) does anyone know if the 3en ones fit? looks like it too me but they look taller from bottom to top

Also where i took the inlet rubbers off to properly inspect them it mangled the gaskets which is annoying because i can't find anywhere that sells replacements so what on earth am i to do now?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've been looking for a long time for a good replacement set. I've got a 3TJ too. My local Yamaha dealer can't find stock in UK either.

I've been toying with the idea of getting some made to special order but i've not looked into it hard enough yet.

I've managed to get a used set of inlet rubbers that are in far better condition than the ones already on the bike, i was told to use Hylomar gasket sealant and jointing compound which seems like a good product, i picked the bike up as a project and the carbs were in a terrible state inside and the inlet rubbers were in a bad way so i've cleaned it all and put it back together and put new spark plugs in it and it;s still not starting lol

Fowlers website says 'discontinued' , so short of finding Nos stuff, you won't find any new.

You could try squirting silicon sealant into the cracks.

The other set I've managed to get my hands on are in far better condition, it doesn't look as if they're anywhere near close to going all the way though, as far as gaskets at the minute I've tried Hylomar which i'm very sceptical about and also I've brought some sheets of gasket paper from my local car parts shop but the problem is cutting the gasket, harder than it looks!
