Hi.

My bike came with a set of heated grips that look to have done most of the bikes 50k life.

the throttle grip doesn't feel to have a lot of grip and this means i have to hold the grip tight to maintain a good grip.

is there a neat trick to revive or liven up the grip ?

Cheers.
C.

Wintergreen oil is supposed to return a degree of flexability to some plastics.

Be careful handling it though.

Put new grips on?

Not expensive and easy to do.

Oops, missed the 'heated' bit.

Some heated grips do let you replace the actual grip bit, but most don't unfortunately.

these ones have a wire going directly into the grip.
i have not used the heated bit as its been summer and i have only had the bike a few weeks.

i will turn them on for the ride home (30 mins) and see what happens.
i know its fairly warm outside but i should be able to feel the additional heat ?

I more of a muff man (boom boom) so not all is lost if they dont work.

Yep, should notice them.

You can always take them off and see if you can work out why they're not working and stick them back on come winter.

In really cold conditions, combining with muffs works extra-well.
