The "population at large" are not demonstrating against leaving the EU in any significant numbers, this is the UK where political apathy rules. The poll tax demonstrations were far bigger than any pro or anti Brexit demonstrations!
Politicians, pressure groups and newspapers are campaigning for a second vote, the "population at large" are not!
Politicians, pressure groups and newspapers are claiming we will be worse off outside of the EU, the "population at large" are not!.
The constant belittling our relevance and power in Europe, would seem to be a fair point considering we're about to leave, thereby massively reducing our relevance and power in Europe.
You get the drift.... well probably not, but everyone who's not a staunch Brexiteer will.
If you believe the constant bleating on social media, from both sides, is having any effect on anything, you're overestimating the interest our politicians actually have for the people who elected them!
The "population at large" showing a bit of optimism about leaving the EU, is as pointless as believing that watching a football match on TV and cheering your team on has any effect on the game!

Has it never occurred to you that the other EU members, who will have the ultimate say on Brexit, might just want some retribution for fcuking up their grand design and take great pleasure in making the UK suffer as much as possible? ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

Of course. That's why we should be preparing for, or at least threatening a No Deal. Let out net importers pay an import tariff as well as losing one of it's largest net funders.
If 22 out of 26 countries who benefit from the UK in trade and handouts want to shoot themselves in the foot, let them, or at least make it look like we can go that route if their deal is shite.
For as much as the left hate Trump, he'd have been a very good negotiator for the UK had he been in charge, instead of a woman who voted against what she's now pretending to negotiate. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Will they? How will this vote work, majority to go through or unanimous?
Anything solid to back this up?

But, I thought you said that we mean nothing to them, that we're insignificant and they can cope without us? I mean, they don't need us do they?
Let's face it, us leaving especially without a trade deal, will be the start of the end for the Federal State of GEUrmany and their third attempt in recent history to control Europe. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

This plan and the EFTA/EEA options there are not proposed by May government or any prominent Leave supporters like Farage, Gove, Mogg, Johnson, ERG gang.
Finally your plan say FoM will continue.
I mean plan that can unite all leave voters, good luck persuading bnp72 in your plan.

Anyhow back to the real world.
The EU/UK trade deal fudge is ready: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-05/germany-u-k-said-to-drop-key-brexit-ask-easing-path-to-deal
It is not a news really because if you read the EU guidelines for the last 2 years you'll see it there: fudge trade framework signed "in principle" and the real trade negotiation legal details will start after 29 March 2019.
What left now is UK to find a solution for NI backstop or to the agree on the sea border solution proposed by the EU. Then we can sign the Withdrawal Agreement, have a happy Christmas and the Brexit can kicked further down the road to the Dec 2020 end of the transition period.
Unless UK comes to it's sense and votes in PeoplesVote to stay in the EU.
That's all folks. ____________________ Adrian Monk: Unless I'm wrong, which, you know, I'm not...

That was a good read. You can't turn the history back though.
Not compatible with the future of EU - the new EU federation plan: https://spinelligroup.eu/2018manifesto
The silver lining in Brexit is it allows the EU to develop further free without the UK veto and the constant moaning ____________________ Adrian Monk: Unless I'm wrong, which, you know, I'm not...

The population at large lost out big time under EU membership and nothing has changed while we are still a member. |

The May government could be gone tomorrow
I know why hard remainers dont like EFTA/EEA , it's because they know thats what people with a choice of no deal and that would vote for, that would keep us out of the EU , which you dont want.
FOM? what where most migration now comes from outside of the EU, wet the bed, even the polling shows people arnt too bothered about EU migration anymore, people are not concerned by your or BNP's extremist views. ____________________ '00 Aprilia RS50 > '92 Honda CG > '99 Yamaha Fazer > '91 Yamaha RXS > '79 Suzuki X5 > 01' Honda Cg > 07' Honda Cg > 82' Kawasaki Z200 > suzuki gsxr 400 gk73a > honda vfr 400 NC30> Yamaha RD350 YPVS F2 > Kawasaki ZZR 600 D1 > Yamaha TZR 250 2MA >Suzuki TL1000R > Yamaha TDR250 > Honda 929 blade > Suzuki SV1000 > Honda H100

Like i'm all up for an eventual Canada like deal, EFTA/EEA is just to soften the blow, but if you frothing at the mouth remainers are ready to form a superstate already, just make sure everyone is aware. ____________________ '00 Aprilia RS50 > '92 Honda CG > '99 Yamaha Fazer > '91 Yamaha RXS > '79 Suzuki X5 > 01' Honda Cg > 07' Honda Cg > 82' Kawasaki Z200 > suzuki gsxr 400 gk73a > honda vfr 400 NC30> Yamaha RD350 YPVS F2 > Kawasaki ZZR 600 D1 > Yamaha TZR 250 2MA >Suzuki TL1000R > Yamaha TDR250 > Honda 929 blade > Suzuki SV1000 > Honda H100

We won't "move to EFTA/EEA immediately", as it can't be done in a timely fashion, and we might not be welcome anyway as the size of our economy would distort the current situation of current members, and our parliament would not agree anyway.
I am becoming more sure that we'll just leave, with whatever arrangements have been negotiated in place, and the rest left to be worked out as time goes by and the initial bodges to keep things working are replaced. |

We're already party to the EEA agreement and EFTA has already been mentioned by Barnier and the ex judge for the EFTA court said we should move over to it.
The clocks ticking now and all the usual political consensus goes through the window when decisions have to be made rather than kicking the can down the road. ____________________ '00 Aprilia RS50 > '92 Honda CG > '99 Yamaha Fazer > '91 Yamaha RXS > '79 Suzuki X5 > 01' Honda Cg > 07' Honda Cg > 82' Kawasaki Z200 > suzuki gsxr 400 gk73a > honda vfr 400 NC30> Yamaha RD350 YPVS F2 > Kawasaki ZZR 600 D1 > Yamaha TZR 250 2MA >Suzuki TL1000R > Yamaha TDR250 > Honda 929 blade > Suzuki SV1000 > Honda H100
