As the thread title states, let's all see pics of your first bike.

Don't be shy, nor embarrassed, it couldn't be as bad as my first! My first love of two wheels happened to be a twist and go! I bought it new from Grand Prix Motorcycles in Newton Abbot (Now demolished to make way for houses after the owner went bust and sent to prison). So, whilst most of my friends were popping around on Peugeot Speedfight 100's, I was zooming past on my Aprilia SR125! Looking back now, I did really enjoy the thing even though it was a scooter! It started the bike bug for me......

So get posting Thumbs Up

No actual pictures have survived the 3 decades and a bit since that time. However, it was a Simson S51 Enduro, just like this one:

And at the opposite end of the scale is me. I've only been riding since February. Here's a picture of mine, although nothing interesting or quirky like the previous.

Edit to add: I've since ditched the hideous blue screen and just as hideous standard exhaust.

One of these...https://lerebel30.free.fr/motobecane1.jpg

Laughing Gave £27quid for when was about 12 in 1985 or thereabouts. Bought mine from a bloke who drove a mini
cab for the cab office at the top of my mums road. It was eventually stolen. Probably worth a few quid these days.

My first bike was a TS50x, I don't have many photos of it though.

My first bike post bike licence was a TDR250:

A friend.of mine also had a TS50X. It was yellow with a blue seat and it had a DEP exhaust on it! I thought it was the bees knees! It made me jealous actually, as I couldn't afford one at the time. It was six months later when I finally managed to afford my first bike.

Don't have any digi pics of mine, but my first bike on the road was a 1986 Suzuki GP125 that I got on my 17th birthday in 2000. I rode it literally to its death, got 75mph out of it too Laughing At the time I used to think it looked the dogs bollocks but looking back now... Laughing

https://www.chinesemotorcycledealers.co.uk/LK125GY-2/600/2.jpg

It was a powerless, wobley, badly build piece of chinese crap.
It was stolen 3 weeks after purchasing it brand new. (Kind of glad now if im honest)

The very last picture of my the very first motorcyle. It was fun, it was drama, it was anger, it was everything and nothing at the same time. Tought me how to ride, tought me how to keep a motorcycle alive, tought me how proper motorcycles should not work (the CB-1 was a real eye opener, meaing the reliability, stability on the road, smooth engine, perfect start every time, not burning/losing oil...). Even if the GPz was not the best bike around, it was somehow cool to have it. I haven't met other GPz 550's on the road yet. To sum it up, Kawasaki: Let the good times roll.

P.S. The only sad thing is, that I was selling it, because I was not capable of fixing it on my own (ran on 3 cylinders, and I had no idea why, there was a huge airleak somewhere, the carbs... + other stuff that I was even not sure what the culprit was and only assumed it was just because the motorcycle was old). Today, I've got the skills, know-how and source of cheap spare parts and I also have more money in my pocket nowadays and so on, but the GPz is long gone.

1988 GPz 550

Had it all of 5 months I think. Liked it when I first got it - remember it being a lot better than the 500 I had from bike school. Then I got a CBR and realised how crap it was. Terrible brakes - truly terrible.

Yamaha YBR125 - bought it new to get some practice in on before doing DAS a year later. Think i only did 1500 miles on it, it was fun until i got out on a bigger bike and realised it wasn't. After that it didn't get used again and subsequently sold and replaced with CB500 i currently have.

This was the first bike I owned:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/z650f2modded001_zps5a16cae0.jpg

Kawasaki Z650F2 with Dresda swing arm, Laser 4-1 exhaust, S&B conical filters, Koni rear shocks, Goodridge brake lines, TwoFour seat and various other little bits and pieces. I was about 14, and the only place I got to ride it at that age was in the yard of the council lock-ups where it was kept. The bike came to me cos my brother who bought it new messed up the engine, and in a fit of temper said if I could fix it I could have it. So I did Mr. Green
I did get to ride it legally later once, when I let the guy who I sold it to have a go on my bike of the time.

First big bike after passing my test:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/bikes_1_zps693b71ee.jpeg

But I did my learning and tests on a Suzuki ZR50X1 and a Honda CB100N of which I have no photos because even then I was so focussed on getting a bigger bike that I only saw these as a means to an end and didn't really regard them as proper bikes at all.
