Back in 2006, something like this, definitely didn't look as good as this haha and it always broke down on me. I'm sure it was a Sym, can't remember exact model. Got about 50mph out of it.

Yamaha RS100 - found image not mine but it was same colour.

https://s31.postimg.org/491gtxxx7/yamaha_rs_100_04_1.jpg

This was a quite rapid lightweight two stroke which had practically the same power as the 125s - which cost considerably more to buy and insure.

And here's mine ..

As it arrived ..

https://tony-home.no-ip.org/bikes/CHITUMA_CTM-125_2005_1.jpg

Once put together ..

https://tony-home.no-ip.org/bikes/CHITUMA_CTM-125_2005_2.jpg

Actually had it for just over 3 years, until it got stolen, and although I recovered it, I didn't have the heart to fix it up Sad

I have no good pics of my '72 "K" blue CB125S that I had from June '75 until May '78.
But I have found a pic on p/b of a similar model

It was a powerless, wobley, badly build piece of chinese crap.
It was stolen 3 weeks after purchasing it brand new. (Kind of glad now if im honest)

a gilera dna copy Laughing

remember when these came out everyone on a Chinese forum went mad for them and thought they were going to be as good as the gilera version
I had a real gilera one with a 180cc engine but it was so uncomfy to ride I got rid after a few weeks

Added to that, as poor as the image in the noughties was for chav equipped Gilera scooters, they seem to have shot up in value for any decent examples left.

I was talking to a dealer recently who turned down an offer of £2.5k for a Gilera Runner 180SP with a fancy race pipe and big carb.

This era of scooters will be the next thing to go all silly priced once the collectors and restorers have stopped spunking over the original restricted 80's&90's trick learner bikes.

A friend of mine has just bought a tiddler, a Kawasaki KC100. Honda must have been miles ahead of the game when it come to styling of these models as you '72 CB125S looks far more modern in design than his '83 KC100. Smile

2004 Husqvarna SM125 - I was horrified to discover it was built by caviga and spares availability was awful. Good fun though!

Son of a bitch....forgot my sig has the list of past bikes.

Yes it was that, but black. However I do prefer the pink ones.

Cost the princely sum of 50 quid back in 1990.

https://i.imgur.com/Yxvgwo0.jpg

Technically indestructible, given it spent its life under a tarpaulin, yet continued to start when most bikes would have long since died.

Also had a rev counter ...... very useful for etching "accccccciiiiiiidddd smilies" on the local park with the back wheel ....

You have to remember, we made our own entertainment back in the day ......

First bike was this, the cub 70, I went halves with my dad on it, a whopping £25 each, for some reason.

https://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag134/Fladdem/820858_3749316271743_1109466638_o_zpstjpng3mz.jpg

Only picture I have of it actually, although it's still in the garage.

The first road legal bike was this, 08/08/2010 I bought this ped. Still in the garage. Thumbs Up

And, being the hero I am, the first thing I did was ride it up the pile of mud in the garden from the footings for the extension. Laughing

My daughter on my Piaggio MP3 125cc. This was a real head-turner, which isn't particularly a good thing for a self-concious fatty such as myself.
