Hi all

made the stupid mistake of locking my keys in the seat of my honda vision today, normally I leave the keys in the lock until Ive put everything in or gotten everything out so I dont know why I made this mistake

I tried pulling it open from either side but obviously that didnt work, any ideas as to what I can do to unlock? thanks

Spare key?

If not I believe all the key does when you turn it is pull a piece of wire which in turn releases the seat catch. See if you can find a way to get to the wire and pull it. Been a while since I had my vision so can't remember exactly how difficult that will be but worth a shot Thumbs Up

Either :

1) Flat screwdriver, large hammer & plenty of wellie.

or, if you don't need the bike for a couple of days.....

2) Cheap lock pick set from amazon. I went down this route for smaller locks. I was MASSIVELY surprised by the "fruits of my labours" within 2 hours of practice. "Shocked" doesn't even cover how easy some locks are .....

Most scooters have a fairly easily accessible wire to open the seat catch. Look behind the lock, find the cable, follow it and see if you can pull it or operate any lever it goes to.

Worth using a torch, it'll be somewhere dark and dirty under the seat.

Wheel it to some chav infested area, with a note attached saying 'keys in here' on seat. Hide and wait for aforementioned chavs to turn up and retrieve said keys. (Shouldn't take long). Beat chavs to within an inch of their lives (a baseball bat might be a useful aid to achieve this). Remove keys from chavs person and ride home. Thereby killing two birds with one stone. Thumbs Up

Or follow other posters advice.
