An explosion went off close to an office for migration in the town of Zirndorf near Nuremberg, German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk has reported.

It is not yet known whether there were any casualties.

A suitcase filled with aerosols was detonated, adding that it was unknown who had caused the explosion, the broadcaster said on its website.

More to follow.

Bets now please.

My bets: 1 dead raygun, not more than 3 dead civilians, no links to Islam or ISIS.

Drunk right wingers judging by their choice of where to put the suitcase. Laughing

"Photos of the scene showed police officers surrounding the remains of a suitcase on a footpath around 200 metres from the reception centre."

The German federal elections are not for a year.

The election will be on a Sunday between 27 August and 22 October 2017.

So that's another 395 - 451 days and at the current rate of snackbar related happenings, it doesn't paint the prettiest of pictures.

She'll jump before she's pushed, right? Laughing

She remains bafflingly popular, which is plusgood. That is of course very different from populist, which is double plus ungood, for reasons that escape me.

The Hun, like the Swedes, seem to have beaten wife syndrome: if they can only manage to love their abusers enough, then they'll surely reciprocate.

Some lighter gas cans blown up in a suitcase. Extremely small fireball, like bonfire kind of thing. No injuries.
