i has got me an itch...

i'm after a brat style bike (dont ask why) or maybe a road scrambler style thing, kind of a project to mess about with but i need it running.

Seen this, honest thoughts?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252512714582?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

i dont want to spend a fortune really, def under a grand for a running bike.

something i can tinker with over winter etc

It's got electrics, a long MOT, and lots of new bits. You could do a lot, lot worse buying a custom-flat-bob-track-cafe bike off of eBay.

InB4 "shitting frog", mind.

I wonder if the reserve is nuttier than a squirrel's pension pot.

Handle bars are in an awful position, low and pointing up and back, it'll fuck your wrists I reckon.

The rear seat unit is comically bad. The rear brake light switch looks gash too.

All things that are fixable mind.

'S how you know it's a proper caff, innit?

Worst case a set of straightish 'drag' bars on there would sort it out. Heck, just get a length of aluminium tube and bend the ends back a bit, proper legit.

No rear mudguard so it'll soon be fucked by dust and shite being flung up into the carb, if it isn't already.

In fairness, it looks very like a K-series CB250 race bike the way it's been done.

If you buy it, paint it red and put the winged HM logo on the tank. Consider fitting a silver rickman fairing (and a rear mudguard, and rearsets).
