So first track day coming up at darley moor.
My question is how does the noise testing work? Do you go with the bike running and wait while others are tested or do you not start bike until its ready to be tested?

My concern is
1 im running no rad fan
And
2 i need to cart a battery and jump leads around as the starter is off a remote battery, there is a small battery for the ignition/fuel pump but not man enough to do the starter.

Just trying to figure out best way to do it without looking like a noob...

Tia

With no rad, you've got probably... a few mins of run time, thermostat opens and then its gonna get warm.

I'd be there early, get it tested first, just bring a mate with batt to jump it. I know I sat in a queue for testing at Brands for ~10 minutes once.

Thanks. I junked the thermostat as well to try and help reduce the heat up time a bit.

Yes, you normally queue up.

You can always keep an eye until there's not much queue.

I always avoid busy times.

If your bike is near the limit, some think it may run quieter when warm.

What bike is it? Most won't heat up that much at idle.

Could always bump start it if needed? Or take the battery down.

Only done one track day down at Lydden so far, and the testing seemed fairly "relaxed".

Basically you queue up ( your choice if you try and get in first or hold back until the end ), then when it's your turn a guy stands behind you with some a measuring device and a guy tells you to rev it up to 4k. Done.

They seemed to give a few people a few attempts at it.
