Aside from the BW crowd who I already know about, is anyone coming to the Pissed Indian this weekend?

If you are it would be good to meet you!

Question

No, it's just the name of a rally, was looking into going to it with someone lastyear but it came and passed, supposed to be reasonably large.

It's in Kent, not entirely sure where though. It's one of the more active rallies, lots of things to do etc a lot most ppl on here wouldn't quite fancy doing I should imagine, hot weather would be more ideal for it.

A rally anywhere generally involves turning up on Friday at some point with a tent and sleeping bag, parking up, eating, drinking, watching live bands, passing out, waking up Saturday (how long this takes depends on how much you drank on Friday night), eating, silly games, bike show, eating, more live bands, more drinking, more passing out, waking up Sunday and going up.

I've done several Pissed Indians and always enjoyed it. It's one of my favourites in the year.

Most people, over the years, have been taught something called 'Good Manners'.

It's a simple concept. It means saying 'please' when you want something, and 'Thank you' when they get it.

I don't remember being taught about clicking on icons being good manners.

In fact it strikes me as being rather ignorant.

Cheers,

Byrnie.

Ste

I have no wish to argue with you, but I cannot see how you can possibly be offended by the fact that I thanked someone for posting some useful information.

At B2BV says, it is good manners, and good manners cost nothing.

However, I apologise if my good manners offend you, and I undertake to never thank you for anything if that makes you happy.

Got no wish to argue either, shame that saxmonster isn't of a similar mind. Rolling Eyes

Wasn't saying it was offensive, wasn't offended by it and don't believe anyone was as it wasn't offensive at all. Was mearly a suggestion, nothing more. Thumbs Up Nowt wrong with thanking people for helpful stuff, but as I said was just a suggestions, doesn't bother anyone at all if people post up saying thanks but was saying how the karma system is another way of doing that.

Ste get your head out of your arse ffs. Everybody posts "thanks mate" its or such like..... sometimes i post a simple Thumbs Up its manners mate...and saying thanks is alittle more personal than clicking a button, since when did u become the karma police?

Stop picking up on the tinyest of things and making them a big issue...maybe if you would have done that sooner you wouldnt have 11 thousand posts now.....or have you forgotton about your days of mass spamming?

Chill mate Thumbs Up

Never suggest I was, or tried to be any form of "karma police" as you put it. It was mearly a suggestion to rate posts as helpful if they are helpful. Didn't say they should post to say thanks and really don't care if people or do not, it was just a suggestion to make use of the helpful rating when something is helpful, is that such a crime?

Wasn't making it a big issue, other people seem to be making it into a big issue so why not go and have a rant at them, oh wait because that would mean you'd have to have a rant at yourself. Thumbs Down

If you read my post again I said:

Which if you read that all I was saying was to rate a post as helpful if you found it helpful, wasn't saying not to post to say thanks was just saying it is good to use the karma system.

Spamming? Please point me to any post of mine where I have been spamming as I don't believe I have ever spammed, remember that spam is "Use this reason only if you spot a blatant piece of unsolicited commercial advertising, similar to what you would term junk mail." so please show me where I have spammed on here and I'll be more than happy to stop. Thumbs Up

Ste, have a look at the Krappa (sorry) Karma rating of this thread.

If you hadn't have put in your comment, would the thread have gone this way?

Did it need your input?

Did your input add anything positive to this thread?

Put this poster up next to your computer.

Cheers,

Byrnie.

So people are saying they've never posted something which is slightly off topic to the thread? It wasn't about the pissed indian but it was relevant to the thread. Thumbs Down
