You've already spunked loads on a Black Widow system which you apparently fitted correctly. You're not going to turn your 13hp commuter-in-a-frock into a flame spitting crackle-and-pop racebike no matter how much money you throw at it. Put it in your Big Boy Bike jar and settle down. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

OP, be reasonable. If you like noise, drill out the baffle from whatever exhaust silencer you have now. But, with noise comes the inconvenience of the noise, actually. Plus, having a slow and loud motorcycle is a very ridiculous combination. Also, noise gets tiring pretty soon enough. If you have a bigger displacement engine you can still cruise at reasonable noise level, but with a 125cc you're gonna be reving it sky high all the time, even when going slow.
But, who am I to teach you about noise vs. perfromance stuff. After all, I had a '88 GPz 550 with fully opened exhaust system, that was way too loud even when I had ear plugs. But, it had enough power to get me through the town quietly at low revs, which is something the 125cc engine won't have. I still had to push the motorcycle quite a bit from my garage before I could start it, when I had to commute early morning, neighbors were pissed all the time.
TL; DR: Do not waste money, drill out the baffle from the factory exhaust system, if you want the noise. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I am not trying to turn my 125 onto a " flame spitting crackle-and-pop racebike" or get more bhp, my Black Widow was really worth the money and I love it, didn't give much power but for the sound and extra mph for M/A roads with pillion it was worth it, it keeps the rpm uphills and don't drop. I only asked about opinions.
Think about it, what is 23 pound, not going to give me much towards "bigger bike", yet it's all about trial and error |
