Check it out about 1/2 way through motorbike driver fined due to speeding, the evidence used to convict him, his own camera strapped to his tank..... showed him hitting 165mph on his zx9 and travelling at 100mph down country lanes
his wife has made him sell the bike pity he could have made a good superbike rider

Hi
yeah i read that 2. but u failed to metion that he was going to prison for a whole year. This really pissed me off because it said in the article that when he came to 30 mph zone and villages he stuck to the limit then went fast again on the country roads. This shows that he was looking and aware of public safety, as he only went fast where no one was so if he did come off the only person he would kill would be himself. This sentance was way too harsh, yes lock mad bikers up if you catch them because the law's the law, but a year in prison for going over the speed limit on empty country roads is way to harsh. I think its just typical police picking on bikers again. Although 165 is an exceedingly high speed im sure car drivers would do the same if they had powerful enough engines and the skill. If a "car" driver was in the same cercumstance it would no-way reach the papers. Its one sided articles like this that give bikers a bad name. You never seem to read about the cars, buses and trucks running over bikers which happens everyday, its pathetic and it really pisses me off. Non biker people when they think of us think of nutter but i know scarier people who drive cars the only thing that stops them from crashin is having 4 wheels instead of 2.

Biker filmed at 165mph
By JOHN COLES
A BIKER filmed himself doing 165mph along country roads.
But police got a look at his video — and last night he was starting ONE YEAR in jail.
Wayne Soman, 32, fitted the camera to the petrol tank of his 900cc Kawasaki to show the speedo and rev counter as well as the road ahead.
He also rigged up a hydraulic device which turned his rear numberplate sideways to stop police noting the registration.
But Soman was nabbed when cops spotted the camera after stopping him in a random check, Swansea Crown Court heard.
The video, played to the court, showed the carpenter giving a thumbs-up before leaving his home in Pontypridd, South Wales.
It went on to record him doing more than 165mph as he approached Brecon.
Soman covered the equivalent of three-quarters of a football pitch in ONE second.
The biker, who had two previous convictions for speeding, admitted dangerous driving

hi
the same story was in MCN in the NEWS section. They went on about a mans brother who had been killed by a women drunk driver who only got nine months compared to the speeder who got 12. Shit shit fucking shit. Its enough to make you get a car, just to stop people pesecuting you for riding with 2 wheels. the whole system is just sooooooooooo fucked up we need a motorcycling prime minister. id vote for him.
