Cufflinks from a cable repair kit

So I went to my cousin's wedding. Planned months in advance. Sent my suit with my mum so I didn't get it creased on the bike. Travelled on just a pair of little E21 boxes so bike was narrow enough to filter, and b-roaded a good deal of the journey for my own entertainment and general hatred of long motorway trips.

It was all going to plan up until the morning of the wedding and I came to put my dress shirt on. No cufflinks. I think I left them somewhere obvious so I wouldn't forget. No sewing kit to apply buttons. No shop as in the middle of nowhere in the new forest. No time to ride somewhere. I have a red short-sleeve shirt, a sweaty t-shirt and beka coolwear onesie, none of which are valid substitutes. I do have a cable repair kit under the seat. Two minutes of wrangling and these are created. Bacon saved.

Much more fancy than my makeshift paperclip jobbies I made a good half dozen times when I was using the bike to commute - always forgot cuff links.

There must be an M10 nut and bolt somewhere on the bike that could've worked?

Probably a pair of apppropriate bolts on a bandit, but they likely hold something important on. Not a lot of nuts, mostly threaded parts.

I had a similar problem when going to a black tie event, solved the problem with some server rack cage nuts. People thought I was much more geeky that I am that night.

Rackmount hardware would be a source of appropriate hardware if I was working. If it wasn't meant to be seen then it probably has shiny untouched bolts, and there's probably a cupboard stocked with fresh supplies. If it's portable racks of musical equipment and will be seen by thousands, one of the impossible to program, woefully obsolete and completely irreplaceable units will be held in with one corroded bolt and an offcut of G string. Never have I ever taken a bolt from stage racks to repair a failed button on my jeans. But then if I get my way there's a zoom 1204, behringer virtualizer or other indestructable cheap thing that nobody wants to use but is there to threaten expensive units with i fthey don't behave.
