simple way to limit WIFI for guests

Hi, I need a simple way to limit wifi speed for my guests as I've only got 2mb in total and when other people are on it its too slow for me to use.

My idea is to have another router plugged into the main one, and give the secondary router a 0.5mb speed, and the guests only get the wifi key for this router. This would leave me with 1.5mb for myself on the main router.

I need to know what sort of router allows you to limit the speed of it, I dont think I can do this from the main router as its fairly limited it doesnt even let you change the DNS.

How would that give them a 0.5mb connection? I would have thought that would give them no connection at all?

Buy a cheapo router, install DDD-WRT, throttle it to half a meg and use it to serve your guests.
