Hi. So i have been riding bike like normal today, when suddenly bike started jumping ( i was in 5th gear (on 5k revs)) So i was not stalling the engine. It jumped as soon as i ooen some throttle. If throttle is closed, engine works but if i try to accelerate, it starts jumping. The end of story is that i have stopped to.check whats up, engine cut out and when i tried to start it battery got down. I have connected leads from my old battery to the bike and it started spinning the starter. So looks like engine spins over just fine. I have checked spark, it does give spark and its wet so fuel is ok. But the spark plug was black, and it seemed like the spark was little weak.. Cleaned it up abit with petrol, still no results. So as i assume, this might be faulty spark plug?
Please sensible answers, as i am quite stupid about bikes.

Sounds like it could be the plug - did you give it a good wirebrushing and check the gap?

Sorry about the manners im nervous and i get useless answer. I have bought a new spark plug today, had no results. After some time i gave up. Came back to her 20mins later and started like a charm. Drove it for 10 minutes and she went off again. It might be an ignition coil maybe? Because even the wire which comes from ignition coil didint give a spark when i put it close to the frame.

The flat battery rings alarm bells, sounds like it isn't charging.

Before getting into any diagnosis, how many previous owners does the bike have? This can give an indication of how many people have attacked the bike with cheap tools and no idea.

Wire brushing a plug is olde.

We don't recommend that treatment now-a-days as it can cause tracking where the spark shorts to ground.

Chuck it and replace with a good one or a new one.

Im 2nd owner, 1.2 k miles. Shouldnt be baterry cuz im jump starting it from my old battery (with leads). When i try to start it, engine spins over starter rotates also. No spark. One question: if coil is bad, can it sometimes work , for instance like in my situation? Sometimes gives a spark, sometimes doesnt. Or maybe a loose wire somewhere? I already got brand new spark plug.

BTW, there ie a way to start bike with flat baterry.. I pushed the bike, jumped on it, turned ignition on, put it in 2nd gear while its moving forwards. Engine tries to start - but hey again. No spark

Before trying to diagnose anything, you need to have a good, healthy, charged battery on it.

Try charging the battery it has overnight. If the bike then starts, I would be suspicious of your charging system.

I mean i have jump leads connected to my baterry from my other motorbike battery that i didint use ( too big doesnt fit) it boosts my old battery so it doesnt have a problem. As i have read about coils, if spark plug is old , it asks for higher voltage, and thats when coils mostly end up bad? Is this right? If it is, my spark plug wasnt changed for 1.2k miles, it was rusty on the outside, and black & dirty where the electrode is. Might that be the reason? Look, another thing. The ht lead that comes from the coil.. I even touched it, it gives no power at all.. I have no multimeter on me right now..

You have a dead battery in the circuit being a drain.

For the 3rd time, sort out the battery properly before trying to fix something that isn't broken.

If you do not have a big fat blue spark at the correct point/time for ignition you will suffer major power loss and/or poor starting.

Eliminate the cheapest reasons for failure first.
All connections MUST be clean and secure.
The timing must be correct check and adjust if out (whether you think it is OK or not).
Plug lead is maybe easiest and possibly cheapest to replace and a common failure area. Eliminate by replacing with new.
Plug is next. Eliminate with new.

Read the book about Honda CG125 that chap put tons of guff about wee engine problems on there that are easy to follow.
Coil is next or Points or CDI Unit if fitted I'm TLDR so not sure.
