Don't know much about rotary engines, (I know how they work), but on part throttle that bike sounded as rough as a bears arse, sounded like it was misfiring or someone had left a spanner in ther! 
From the onboard footage, that looked really fast, but it was 114-115 average, must have been the camera angle/position!

I'm not sure either. Well, my ZX7R sounded like a TDi at the idle and low revs, yet it had a nice howl at higher rpm, plus the engine was very smooth.
